RULES & REGULATIONS
Official Rules & Regulations
The Greene Ridge Pickleball Invitational is governed by a comprehensive set of qualification, standings, eligibility, and championship procedures. All players are responsible for understanding the official rules governing the 2026 qualifying season and the 2027 Greene Ridge Pickleball Invitational.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
How to Qualify
Players earn qualification points by competing in official Greene Ridge qualifying tournaments throughout the 2026 season. Final Invitational standings are determined using each player’s best four tournament results, with invitations awarded based on final certified standings.
Minimum Participation
Players must compete in at least two official qualifying tournaments to remain eligible for Invitational qualification.
Best Four Results
Only a player’s four highest tournament point totals count toward final standings.
Division-Based Competition
Players earn points and compete for standings only within their own championship division and age group.
Important: Qualification standings are maintained separately for each championship division. Players compete only against others within their own division for qualification and Invitational invitations.

CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM FORMATION
Building Competitive Championship Fields
Unlike traditional tournaments, doubles and mixed doubles qualification is earned individually rather than as fixed teams. This
approach rewards season-long performance while helping create the most competitive championship fields possible during
Invitational Weekend.
Qualify as Individuals
Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles players earn qualification points and standings positions as individuals throughout the season.
Invitational Seed Scores
Following the conclusion of the qualification season, qualified players receive Invitational Seed Scores based on their final standings and season performance.
Balanced Championship Teams
Championship teams are formed using a competitive balancing system designed to create evenly matched championship divisions.
Step 1
Players compete throughout the qualifying season and earn Invitational points.
Step 2
Final standings are certified following the Harvest Championship.
Step 3
Qualified doubles and mixed doubles players receive Invitational Seed Scores.
Step 4
Championship teams are formed and announced after the April 1 Invitational lock date.
Important
Partnerships used during the qualifying season do not guarantee Championship Weekend partnerships.
Qualification points belong to the individual player, not the team.
Competitive Balance
The Tournament Director may consider several factors when forming championship teams, including:
Final Invitational standings
Qualification point totals
Tournament performance throughout the season
Overall competitive balance within the division
The goal is to create the strongest and most competitive championship field possible while recognizing season-long achievement.
Once official Invitational teams are announced, all championship pairings become final.

Why Pool Play?
More Matches. Better Champions.
