THE INVITATIONAL EXPERIENCE
More Than Just Another Tournament
The Greene Ridge Pickleball Invitational was created to provide a championship experience that rewards season-long
performance rather than a single weekend result. Every player on Championship Weekend has earned their place
through consistent competition during the qualifying season.
Unlike a traditional open tournament, the Invitational brings together only qualified competitors,
creating a highly competitive environment where every match matters.
Earned, Not Purchased
Entry into the Invitational cannot be bought. Every competitor must earn qualification through performance during the Greene Ridge Qualifying Series.
Championship Atmosphere
The Invitational is designed to create a true championship environment featuring qualified competitors, medal rounds, Championship Sunday, and season-ending recognition.
Multiple Opportunities to Compete
The pool play format guarantees multiple matches before championship advancement, rewarding consistency and competitive excellence.
Recognition That Lasts
Invitational champions become part of the event’s permanent history through championship records, photography, media coverage, and future recognition.
What Makes The Invitational Different?
Most local tournaments begin with registration.
The Greene Ridge Invitational begins with qualification.
Every competitor has spent months earning points, climbing standings, and securing a
position in the field. Championship Weekend is the reward for that effort and the opportunity
to compete against the most successful players from the entire qualifying season.

The road to the Invitational begins in June. The championship is decided the following spring.
CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT
How Champions Are Determined
Every Invitational division follows the same championship structure. Competitors begin with pool play before
advancing to the semifinal and medal rounds. This format rewards consistency while ensuring every qualified
competitor has multiple opportunities to compete.
Pool Play
Players and teams are divided into two seeded pools of four competitors.
Every competitor plays all three opponents within their pool.
Pool Standings
Pool standings are determined by match results.
The top two finishers from each pool advance to the championship semifinals.
Semifinals
The four remaining competitors battle for a place in the championship match.
Semifinal winners advance to the Gold Medal Match.
Semifinal losers advance to the Bronze Medal Match.
Medal Matches
Champions are crowned on Championship Weekend through Bronze and Gold Medal Matches.

Why Pool Play?
More Matches. Better Champions.
Single-elimination tournaments can end a player’s day after one loss.
The Invitational’s pool play format guarantees multiple matches for every competitor while rewarding consistency, adaptability, and overall performance throughout Championship Weekend.
This format helps ensure that champions are determined through sustained excellence rather
than a single match result.
Survive pool play. Advance through the semifinals. Win on Championship Sunday.
